The Cathedral of Saint James

The Cathedral of St. James in Santiago de Compestela is considered to be the third holiest site in the Catholic religion only behind Jerusalem and Rome. The Church is enormous designed in the classical form. For those who are interested I have included the Wikipedia link here:

Above the Botafumerio is claimed to be the largest incense burner used in a church. Below they are beginning to swing it at the end of the Pilgrim’s Mass I attended. Here is a link to a video of same taken by another pilgrim on the same day.

Finally a local delicacy, Padron peppers. Mild peppers that are roasted, then sprinkled with Olive oil and salt Mike and I couldn’t get enough….,Mel, not so much
