Hello to one and all sorry for the delay in the next post. In the past I have always had a concept of the theme for a given hike but for some reason this time it has escaped me. So this series of blog posts will kind of operate the way I used to write a computer program in school where I would write the code then create the flowchart. So this blog, rather than being contemporaneously written, will be a chronicle of our trek subsequent to its completion as I am drafting this post from the airport hotel in Rome. 😊
The trip in general was enjoyed by all with just a few bumps along the way. If there is a headline it’s that Umbria I think has become my favorite region of Italy. Lacking the crowds of Rome and Tuscany and the poverty of Calabria, Umbria is a very comfortable mix of beautiful scenery, pleasant people as well as excellent food and wine.
Our trip starts in Florence where my sons had the opportunity to do the duomo climb and had a great time.

Duomo pics provided by Will and Stephen as the old man has issues with high places lol. So next a visit to Assisi to commence our trek. Ciao
Such wonderful treks you take, Lou. Stay safe.
